I grew up a city girl in London who was always happiest painting and crafting. I went to Manchester University to study archaeology and geography, followed by a career in marketing. I left the city for the New Forest where I have raised a large family surrounded by dogs, ponies, pigs and chickens.
I have really come to love the landscape around me as the changing seasons are a constant source of inspiration. I believe there is no where else on the south coast that offers the same quality of light and the same expanse of isolated rugged wilderness combined with unspoilt coastline.
Throughout my adult life I have kept a sketch book when travelling and when time and family commitments allowed went to a local art class. I recently enrolled to study more formally at Heatherley School of Art in London and enjoy the use of my garden studio too.
During the Covid Lockdown, I was asked by a friend to illustrate a small pocket book of Haiku poems that she and a group of friends had written - this and my experience at art school has encouraged me to expand and share my work. As many friends have often asked if I would sell my work or paint a commission I decided to set up this website.
